Aaron Gill Endorsed by Victory Fund

Deering, NH - July 24, 2012 - The Victory Fund endorsed Democrat Aaron Gill today, candidate for New Hampshire House from Hillsborough County District 39, Deering, Goffstown and Weare.

"I'm proud to receive this endorsement from the Victory Fund, as I was proud to be a citizen of this state when she became the first to provide marriage equality without judicial involvement," said Gill after hearing the news.

He added, "I am running to ensure equal rights for all are maintained throughout the state. During the past session, I watched elected officials try to eliminate marriage equality, deny access to contraceptives, and defund Planned Parenthood. What does any of that have to do with jobs? There has been a stunning lack of common sense in Concord, which I intend to help reverse."

Mr. Gill has advocated for marriage equality since the state endorsed civil unions. During Deering's 2010 town meeting, he spoke against Rep. Bates' effort to subject equal marriage rights to a popular vote through town meeting elections. During 2012, he worked with local Republicans to ensure marriage rights were retained.

Aaron Gill, 35, is a small business loan underwriter and a member of the Deering Conservation Commission. He purchased a vacant home in Deering with his husband Rob Girard in 2007.

The Victory Fund seeks to change the face and voice of America's politics and achieve equality for LGBT Americans by increasing the number of openly LGBT officials at all levels of Government. Since 1991, the Victory Fund has helped thousands of openly LGBT candidates win election to local, state and federal offices.
