Aaron Gill Endorsed by the Professional Firefighters of New Hampshire

Deering, NH - August 29, 2012 - The Professional Fire Fighters of New Hampshire endorsed Democrat Aaron Gill today, candidate for State Representative of Hillsborough County District 39, Deering, Goffstown and Weare.

"I'm proud to receive this endorsement. I stand with my neighbors who are willing to risk their lives to save ours," said Gill after hearing the news.

He added, "Instead of focusing on helping small businesses by funding basic repairs of roads and bridges, fully paying for snow plowing and the lighting of dangerous intersections, or supporting state colleges, universities and community schools, Republican leaders in Concord chose to attack public employees, unions, and women. I look forward, as a state representative, to defending the rights of workers and their employers to negotiate contracts free from the interference of state government, as I oppose any variation of the so-called Right-to-Work legislation."

Aaron Gill's opponent, incumbent Republican and Free Stater Mark Warden, supported Right-to-Work.

Mr. Gill, a middle class advocate, chose to run for state representative to bring the traditional New Hampshire values of decency, common sense, and compassion back to Concord. Mr. Gill, 36, is a small business loan underwriter and a member of the Deering Conservation Commission. He purchased a vacant home in Deering with his husband Rob Girard in 2007.

The Professional Fire Fighters of New Hampshire, the voice for public safety employees in legislative and regulatory matters, is a state association chartered by the International Association of Fire Fighters, AFL-CIO-CLC. They are comprised of 42 local unions of the IAFF, all across the Granite State, representing firefighters and paramedics from small towns and large cities, including Local 3420 in Goffstown.
